You and your three friends meet up one night for a sleepover because your parents are out of town and you dont want to sleep alone in the house at night. You switch on a movie and ring the local takeaway to deliver your pizza. They tell you it will be an hour before they can deliver to you but you dont mind because you're ready for a relaxed night. The movie starts to play and you hear a knock at the door. [[ignore it, it can't be the pizza already]] [[ open it]]

You ignore the door as its only been 5 minutes since you called for the pizza. You and your friends are enjoying the movie until the tv turns off and the lights go out. The power has gone out. You remember that there is candles and flashlights in the shed, but you're scared of the dark. However, when you look across the road out the window you notice there is a house down the road with the lights still on. [[ go to the house because they have power]] [[ go to the shed to get the flashlights and candles]]

You open the door and its another one of your friends. You're surprised as they texted you saying they couldn't make it. They say they got off work early and you invite them in. They sit down and you all watch the movie. She pipes up after a few minutes saying she's bored and thought this was going to be a fun night. She purposes the idea of exploring the abandoned house in the forest beside your house. You're hesitant because it's getting dark and night is coming. [[ agree and go to the abandoned house]]

You start walking down the street towards the house that has power, hoping that they'll let you stay there until the power comes back on. You knock on the door only for it to swing open. This is strange. [[ go inside]] [[turn around and go back home]]

You pry the shed door open and use your phone flashlight to look for some candles. You find a huge box of tea lights and ask the girls to help you bring them in. You go back into the house and light the tea candles. You and your friends find a board game and start setting it up. You hear the doorbell ring. [[open it]]

You've reluctantly agreed to going to the abandoned house to keep her happy. You walk down the isolated road into the forest. There is no abandoned house in sight yet and she keeps insisting its only around the corner. You're getting annoyed as the sun has set now and your parents told you not to go out at night. [[ listen to your parents wishes and turn around to go home]] [[ keep walking]]

You've turned around to go home and notice all the lights you left on in the house are out, you look around the street and notice the power has gone out. However, you look down the street and see there is one house that still has power. You don't want to be on your own in the dark home alone with just your friends without any parents, so you head down the street to the house with power [[ go to the house because they have power]]

Tired and anxious that nightfall is coming you keep asking your friend when will you get there. Finally you arrive at the doorstep of a completely isolated run down house. Your friends eagerly burst through the doors, but youre scared as there could be squatters or dangerous people inside. However, you don't want to walk back through the forest alone. You follow them inside. The wooden floors are rotten and broken, and theres graffti all over the walls. You and your friends venture up the stairs. The weight of all of you on the rotten wooden stairs causes the entire thing to cave in and collapse sending you all spiraling down with the wood into the basement in a loud heap. With a storm of dust preventing you from seeing anything you call our for your friends. No response. You look down and notice your leg is stuck under a fallen podium and you scream in pain. [[ try to move to podium off your leg]]

You venture into the house looking around for people. Your friends shout hello is anyone there? Suddenly you hear the front door slam shut. You all instantly get scared. Is it the wind , is it a person? [[ hide]] [[ go check it out]]

You find this very strange and creepy. Maybe no one is home, but why are the lights stil on? You don't want to stay and find out.So you turn around the go home. You remember there are flashlights and candles in the shed out your back garden that you can bring inside to give you light. [[ go to the shed to get the flashlights and candles]]

You open the door, and it's the pizza you ordered earlier. With all the tealights in the siting room you and your friends play Monopoly and eat your pizza, enjoying the rest of your cosy night in with your friends.

You all run up the stairs and hide in one of the bedrooms. You hear chatter downstairs and your friend says she's going to sneak onto the landing to hear what they're saying. You follow. You notice three men dressed in all black, wearing balaclavas talking about how they cut the power in the area. One of the men starts to give out saying that they missed the power cutting off in this house. One of them replies "it's a good thing no one is home we can steal whatever we want" You panic realising you are on the scene of a robbery right now. You fumble for your phone to call the police, only to remember you left it at home. [[ keep listening]] [[ jump out of the bedroom window to escape]]

You slowly creep around the corner and notice three men in black standing in the kitchen. They instantly see you and you both freeze. All of a sudden you see one of them reach for a kitchen knife, instincts kicking in you scream and sprint for the front door. Your friend franctically tries to open it, you're right beside her. Its locked. One of the men loom over her with a kitchen knife threatening her, without thinking you grab a vase on the front hall table and smash it over his head, knocking him over. You and your friend exchange a proud yet paniced look and then race upstairs while the other two men help their accomplice. Your other friends are still hiding under the bed and you hussle them over to the window. " Should we jump" You hear footsteps crashing up the stairs. It's your only choice. [[ jump out of the bedroom window to escape]]

You keep listening as they plan to steal various things around the house. Your friend finds her phone and rings the guards, as she is queitly explaining where they are the guards tell her to stay hidden and that they'll be there as soon as possible. After ten minutes , while you all are still hidden under the bed you hear police sirens. The door comes crashing in. Amongst loud clatterng and fighting noises you notice a police offer standing at the door of the bedroom. You slowly crawl out from under the bed and he reassures you all that everything will be okay. " We'll take you girls home and make sure you are safe and sound" [[ follow him downstairs, home to safety]]

You pry open the window, to your advantage there is a porch roof right under the bedroom window that you all can easily jump onto. One by one you all pile out of the window onto the roof of the porch. It's still a high jump down. Your friend begin to panic. You don't have time for this. Reassuring her that the grass will cushion her fall you all quickly jump only stubbling over when you hit the ground. You look up and don't see the men behind you. Not wanting to find out where they went you all sprint for your lives down the road back to your house. You arrive to your house and fumble around your pocket for your house keys. Finding them you quickly open the door and go inside. Quickly, as soon as you are safe you take out your phone to inform the police of the robbery down the road. [[ sit back down on the sofa]]

You all follow the police officer passing by the robbers in handcuffs against the bonnet of the car. He then safely escorts you back home to your front door. With the power still out he tells you all to stay indoors with the front door locked, but not to worry because the robbery is under control. He leaves and you all are in disbelief over the night you just had. It's time to relax now. [[ sit back down on the sofa]]

Yous all collapse on the sofa, still lightly out of breath from all the panic and emotions. Then you all burst into laughter. You can't believe what just happened. You all agree to not tell your parents and for this night to stay a secret.

You attempt to move it off your leg but it's too heavy. You're enraged. This wasn't even your idea to come here. All your friends come limping over, them too impacted by the fall. " Is everyone alright?" You grunt back and gesture to the large wooden podium on your leg. All your friends team up together and successfully lift in off your leg revealing a nasty gash. " Right we need to get out of here" you say. But how? You look up and realise this basement is quite far underground. Yous all agree to split up and look for materials around the basement that could help you get out. You limp over to a shelf and stumble open what looks like a ladder. [[ use the ladder to escape]]

Your friend helps you set up the ladder and one by one you manage to crawl out of the hole. You're furious at your friend whose idea it was to come here, as you notice she not so much even has a scratch from the fall and you can barely walk. Stumbling back home through the forest and down the street you all stay silent as you're in shock from what happened. You arrive back and your front door fumbling for the keys and let yourselves back in. Covered in dust and dirt from what happened you say to your friends that you can all take turns having a shower. Luckily as you are waiting the pizza you ordered earlier arrives at the door. You take it in and realize all this was actually quite funny. You and your friends sit back around the table in the living room enjoying the rest of the night, promising to not tell your parents. What a great story this night will make.
